About Us

Street Outreach Movement is a volunteer organization focused on advocating for our homeless street friends here in the Champaign-Urbana area. 

We have two main priorities as we develop one on one relationships with our homeless population. The first priority is to develop the programming, planning, and funding to end homelessness in our community.The second priority is to meet the homeless where they are, offering an assist to those living on the street, connecting when we can those in need with various service providers. 

Temporary overnight sheltering of our homeless that often struggle with addiction issues, or mental health challenges is a band-aid approach. 

Housing is the only permanent solution to end homelessness.
